Back to Conversations & Messaging Support

🛠️ 1. Connecting Your WhatsApp Business Account

You must have a verified Facebook Business Manager account to connect WhatsApp to the platform. This enables two-way messaging and automation integration.

Step-by-Step Connection

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > WhatsApp.
  2. Click Connect and follow the guided setup steps through Facebook Business Manager. This process involves logging into Meta (Facebook).
  3. Select your existing Facebook Business Account and the designated WhatsApp Business Account (WABA).
  4. Ensure your display name, business profile, and template messages are approved by WhatsApp for full functionality.

🚨 2. Compliance Requirements for Messaging

Due to Meta's strict policies, all outbound business-initiated messages must adhere to specific template and timing requirements.

Template Messaging and Timing

  • Pre-approved Templates: All initial messages sent via WhatsApp (business-initiated) must use a pre-approved template message to comply with Meta's policies.
  • Creating Templates: You must create and submit new templates in your Facebook Business Manager dashboard before you can use them in Velocity360 campaigns.
  • 24-Hour Window: Once a client messages you, you have a 24-hour window to reply freely (non-templated) in response. After 24 hours of inactivity, you must use a pre-approved template to re-engage the conversation.

Important Compliance Note:

Failure to use approved templates outside the 24-hour service window can result in messaging limitations or account suspension by WhatsApp/Meta. Always check your template status.
