๐ฅ 1. Understanding Trigger Links for Effective Automation
Watch this video guide to understand how trigger links work and how you can use them to build effective automation in your campaigns.
๐ 2. What are Trigger Links?
A Trigger Link looks like a normal link, but it has powerful automation capabilities built-in. When a contact (who is known in your CRM) clicks a Trigger Link, you can have Velocity360 automatically perform actions, such as adding a tag, starting a workflow, or sending a notification.
For example, you could send an email with two links: "I'm interested in Product A" and "I'm interested in Product B". By making these Trigger Links, you can automatically tag contacts based on their click, allowing for precise marketing segmentation.
โญ 3. Key Features
- Tag Automation: Automatically add or remove tags based on link clicks.
- Workflow Integration: Start or stop a contact from a Workflow automation.
- List Management: Add a contact to a specific list.
- Link Analytics: Track exactly who clicked which link and when.
๐ 4. How to Create a Trigger Link
- Navigate to Marketing > Trigger Links.
- Click "Create Link".
- Give your link a name (e.g., "Clicked Product A Interest Link").
- Paste the Destination URL (where the user will be redirected after clicking, e.g., your product page).
- Click "Add Action".
- Choose an action, such as "Add Tag" and select the tag "Interested-Product-A".
- You can add multiple actions. For example, you could also add them to a workflow.
- Click "Save".
๐ก 5. How to Use a Trigger Link
After saving, Velocity360 will provide you with a new, unique URL for your Trigger Link. It will look something like https://app.yourdomain.com/l/aBcDeFg.
You must use this new link in your emails, on your website, or in your text messages. Do not use the original destination URL. When a contact clicks this special link, they will be instantly redirected to your destination URL, and the actions you set up will run in the background.
