How do I add new staff members and set their permissions?

You can add new staff members to your Velocity 360 account and set specific permissions so they only access the information you want them to see.

Adding and Configuring a New Staff Member

  1. From your Velocity 360 dashboard, go to Settings.
  2. Click My Staff from the top navigation.
  3. To add a new staff member, click the + Add Employee button.
  4. Fill in the First Name, Last Name, Email, and Phone Number.
  5. Under Roles and Permissions, configure the following:
    • User Role: Choose User for team members or Admin for team leaders with higher permissions.
    • Data Visibility Scope: Choose All of records to let them see all data, or Only assigned data to restrict them to contacts or opportunities assigned to them.
  6. Review the detailed permissions list and toggle them On or Off. Below are some common recommendations:
    • Account Settings: Generally Off to prevent changes to core settings.
    • Automations: Typically Off to prevent accidental changes to workflows.
    • Calendars: Usually On so they can manage their own calendar.
    • Contacts & Conversations: Keep On if they need to see and communicate with contacts.
    • Dashboard: Generally On for them to view performance metrics.
    • Integrations: Keep On if they need to connect their external accounts.
    • Marketing: Toggle On/Off depending on their role in managing campaigns.
    • Opportunities: Keep On if they manage deals or sales pipelines.
  7. Once you've set all desired permissions, click Save.
