Reporting (Creating/Scheduling)

A step-by-step guide to setting up and automating your data reports.

🧭 1. Getting Started: Creating a New Report

Step 1 – Log into Velocity 360

Ensure you have logged into your Velocity 360 account with the necessary permissions to access reporting features.

Step 2 – Open Reporting from the left side panel

Step 3 – Locate the "+ New Report" button

If you haven’t created any reports yet, you will see a central screen where you select + New Report. If you have existing reports, the button will be located on the top right of the screen.

No Existing Reports:

βš™οΈ 2. Choosing a Report Creation Method

Step 4 – Select Your Starting Point

You have three options to begin building your report: Import from an existing dashboard, Create from a blank report, or use a Template from the library.

Step 5 – Import from a Dashboard

Be sure to use the dropdown menu if you have multiple Dashboards. Once imported, familiarize yourself with the report controls:

Highlighted: These are the names of the pages (click the 3 dots to edit the name of each page).

Purple circle: Used to add content to your report.

Green circle: Allows you to edit the name of this report.

β†’Red Arrow: Indicates the name of your report and the dates it is pulled from.

Red Circle: Contains options to Save, Send, or Schedule the report to be pulled regularly.

Step 6 – Create a Blank Report

This option provides the same navigation and tools as the imported report, but you start with a completely empty canvas to customize.

Step 8 – Template from the Library

Choose from a selection of pre-configured reports designed for common business needs, which you can then apply and customize for your company.

🧱 3. Managing Widgets and Pages

Step 7 – Adding Widgets

Under your current page, you will see suggestions and an "Add Widget" button to customize your data views.

Step 9 – Deleting an Unwanted Widget

To delete an unwanted widget, simply select the three dots (...) on the right side of the widget. You will then have the option to duplicate or delete.

Step 10 – Adding More Widgets and Pages

If you'd like to add another widget to the same page, use the + button on the top left of the page. If you are looking to add a new page, you will see the + button in between your existing pages.

Red Square: These allow you to edit the layout and sizing of your desired widgets.

Note: Some of these widgets will need to be configured. Look for configuration guides within those widgets.

βœ… 4. Automation and Cleanup

Step 11 – Scheduling a Report

To set up a scheduled report, you must fill out all the highlighted lines, including recipients, frequency (daily, weekly, monthly), and delivery time.

  • You will then have a chance to send a test email (in the top right of the page).
  • At the bottom right you can then decide to Save and Schedule or Cancel Action.

Step 12 – Deleting an Unwanted Report

From the main Reporting dashboard, use the three dots (...) to the right of the unwanted report. This menu lets you edit permissions, duplicate, or Delete the report.

Step 13 – Confirming Deletion

If you are sure you want to delete this report, select the Delete Report button in the confirmation modal. The report will no longer appear once deleted.
