📖 1. Using Velocity360 Sending

By default, Velocity360 handles all email sending on your behalf using our optimized and managed mail servers. This is the recommended approach for most users as it requires no setup and ensures high deliverability rates.

When to Use Default Sending

  • You are running marketing or transactional campaigns and value ease of setup.
  • You do not have a dedicated external SMTP service (like SendGrid or Mailgun).
  • You prefer the system to handle email authentication (DKIM/SPF) automatically.

🚀 2. How to Configure a Custom SMTP Server

If you prefer to use your own email sending service (like SendGrid, Mailgun, or a private server), you can configure a custom SMTP provider within your account settings. This gives you direct control over your email reputation.

Custom SMTP Setup Steps

  1. Navigate to Settings > Email Services > Sending Providers.
  2. Click "Add New Provider" and select "Custom SMTP".
  3. Enter your SMTP server's credentials:
    • Host: smtp.yourprovider.com
    • Port: 587 (or 465 for SSL)
    • Username: Your SMTP username
    • Password: Your SMTP password or API key
  4. Save and send a test email to verify the connection.

Once added, you can set this new provider as your default for all transactional and marketing emails, or assign it to specific campaigns.
