🎁 1. Step-by-Step Coupon Creation

Create custom promo codes to offer discounts for products and services sold via Velocity360 payment links.

The Creation Process

  1. From your Velocity 360 dashboard, click Payments > Coupons.
  2. Click + Create Coupon.
  3. Enter a Coupon Name (for internal use) and the Coupon Code (what the customer uses, e.g., SAVE20).
  4. Select the Discount Type (Percentage or Fixed Amount) and the corresponding Discount Value.
  5. (Optional) Set Start and End Date & Time for the promotion.
  6. (Optional) Configure Usage Limits to control the total number of uses or limit the code to one per customer.
  7. Click Create.

💰 2. Discount Types: Fixed Amount vs. Percentage

Velocity360 allows you to define coupons in two distinct ways to suit different promotional goals:

Defining Discount Values

  • Percentage Discount: The value is applied as a percentage of the total purchase amount. (Example: A value of `15` applies a 15% discount.)
  • Fixed Amount Discount: The value is applied as a flat currency amount off the total. (Example: A value of `25` applies a $25 USD discount.)
  • You must ensure the discount value you enter corresponds correctly to the Discount Type selected in step 4 of the creation process.

⏱️ 3. Usage Limits and Expiration Dates

Control the lifetime and reach of your promotional campaigns using time and usage constraints.

Configuring Limits

  • Expiration: Set a precise End Date & Time. Once reached, the coupon automatically deactivates.
  • Total Usage Limit: Restrict the total number of times the code can be used across *all* customers (e.g., limit the coupon to the first 100 purchases).
  • Per Customer Limit: Ensure the coupon can only be used once per unique client record in your CRM.

🔗 4. Applying Coupons to Payment Links

Coupons are designed to be self-service. Customers enter the code directly during the checkout process when completing a payment linked to a product or service.

The Client Experience

  • When a client clicks a payment link for a product, they are taken to a secure checkout page.
  • They will see a field labeled "Promo Code" or "Coupon Code."
  • Once the code is entered, the discount is immediately calculated and reflected in the total.

Note:

Coupons are applied by customers during checkout when they use a Velocity360 payment link for a product or service. They cannot be applied directly to a drafted invoice.

📈 5. Coupon Reporting and Status Management (Coming Soon)

This section will cover the dashboard features that allow you to track the performance of your promotional codes, including usage statistics and revenue impact.

Management Features

  • View current usage count versus the set limit.
  • Edit or deactivate a coupon code mid-campaign.
  • Filter transactions based on the coupon code used.
